What is Kissa?
Kissa is an audio story app. Anyone can turn photos, a voice recording or typed text into a narrated, multi-episode audio series, publish it, and have it heard in Hindi, Odia, Punjabi and Gujarati.
Is it free to listen?
Yes. The first 3 episodes of every story are free in every language, and you can listen to them on this website without an account. After that you can unlock episodes with coins or subscribe for ₹49 a month or ₹299 a year.
Do I pay extra to hear a story in my language?
Never. Translation is always free. Every story is translated into all launch languages and you only ever pay to unlock the next episode — and an unlocked episode stays unlocked in every language.
How does a photo become a story?
Upload 1 to 10 photos, pick a genre, language and narrator voice, and add a note if you like ("this is my grandmother's village in 1980"). Our AI, built on Sarvam AI, describes the scenes, plans characters and episodes, writes the series and narrates it. You review and edit every episode before anything is published.
Are the stories written by AI?
Stories are written and narrated by AI from a creator's own photos, voice or text, and the creator reviews and edits them before publishing. Every story is labelled "AI-generated", and translations are labelled "Translated by AI".
Who can use Kissa?
Kissa is for adults aged 18 and over. It is a general story platform — there is no adult (18+) content category.
Can I earn from my stories?
Every creator starts as Rising with 5 story slots. A story that becomes a hit unlocks Verified status, more slots and, when payouts launch, a share of revenue. See the Creator program page for details.
