What counts as a hit
A story qualifies as a hit when, within 30 days of publishing, it meets all three of these. These thresholds are proposals and may change before launch — we'll always show your live progress in the app.
If none of your 5 stories becomes a hit, you can unpublish one to free a slot — good creators are never stuck.

Payout terms
Payouts are coming in a later phase. The plan: a share of subscription revenue goes into a monthly creator pool split by qualified listening minutes, and coin unlocks on your episodes pay a direct revenue share. Minutes in translated languages credit you, the original creator. Exact percentages, payout minimums and tax treatment (TDS/GST) will be published here before payouts go live.
What is a qualified listen?
- At least 60 seconds of an episode
- Counted once per listener, per episode, per day
- Your own plays don't count
- Bot and device-farm patterns are filtered out
Your story stays yours
You own your story. When you publish, you confirm it's original and that you have the rights to every photo you upload, and you give Kissa a licence to translate, narrate and distribute it. You review and edit every AI draft before it goes live. Read the creator terms and community guidelines.
