How do I sign in?
Open the app and sign in with your mobile number. We send a one-time password (OTP) by SMS. You can browse and listen to free episodes as a guest before signing in.
Why is an episode locked?
The first 3 episodes of every story are free. Later episodes can be unlocked with coins (a few coins per episode) or by subscribing, which unlocks everything while it is active.
I paid but my coins or subscription didn't appear.
Purchases are made through Google Play. Close and reopen the app, make sure you're signed in to the same account, then check Wallet. If it's still missing after 30 minutes, contact support with your Google Play order ID (it starts with GPA.).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kissa → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for Google Play purchases follow Google Play's refund policy. See our Refund policy page for how to request one.
The translation in my language sounds odd.
Translations are made by AI and labelled "Translated by AI". Use the report button on the story to tell us; creators can also hide a language that doesn't sound right.
How do I report a story, comment or creator?
Tap the ⋮ menu or flag icon on any story, comment or creator profile and choose Report. Our team reviews every report. You can also block a creator so you no longer see their stories or comments.
My story was blocked. Why?
Every story is checked against our Community Guidelines before publishing. If something was blocked by mistake, reply to the notice in the app or contact support to ask for a human review.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. You can also request deletion from the Delete account page on this website.
What is Kissa?
Kissa is an audio story app. Anyone can turn photos, a voice recording or typed text into a narrated, multi-episode audio series, publish it, and have it heard in Hindi, Odia, Punjabi and Gujarati.
Is it free to listen?
Yes. The first 3 episodes of every story are free in every language, and you can listen to them on this website without an account. After that you can unlock episodes with coins or subscribe for ₹49 a month or ₹299 a year.
Do I pay extra to hear a story in my language?
Never. Translation is always free. Every story is translated into all launch languages and you only ever pay to unlock the next episode — and an unlocked episode stays unlocked in every language.
How does a photo become a story?
Upload 1 to 10 photos, pick a genre, language and narrator voice, and add a note if you like ("this is my grandmother's village in 1980"). Our AI, built on Sarvam AI, describes the scenes, plans characters and episodes, writes the series and narrates it. You review and edit every episode before anything is published.
