Community Guidelines
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Kissa is a general story platform for adults. Stories can be romantic, scary, sad or strange — but they must be safe, legal and respectful of real people. These rules apply to stories, episodes, titles, covers, photos, voice recordings, comments and profiles, in every language.
Our spirit
Tell the stories only you can tell — your village, your family, your city at night, the ghost your grandmother swore she saw. Write fiction freely. Just don't hurt real people, and never involve children.
Banned everywhere
These are never allowed. Some lead to an immediate ban.
| Rule | What happens |
|---|---|
| Any romantic or sexual content involving anyone under 18, or characters described as school-age or minors. | Account ban on first offence and report to authorities. |
| Explicit descriptions of sexual acts, genitals or nudity; pornographic titles or covers. | Removal and strike; serious cases lead to a ban. |
| Intimate stories that identify a real person — real names, photos, workplaces or social handles. | Removal and strike; serious cases lead to a ban. |
| Sexual violence presented approvingly, or non-consent framed as romance. | Removal and strike. |
| Cloning or imitating someone else's voice. | Account ban on first offence. |
| Hate, harassment, defamation, or instructions for real crimes. | Removal and strike; serious cases lead to a ban. |
No 18+ category. Kissa has no adult content category, tab or mode. Romance is welcome; explicit sexual content is not.
Also not allowed
- Photos you don't have the right to use, or photos of other people without their consent.
- Copyrighted stories, scripts, lyrics, film or TV plots copied from others, or film songs.
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, terrorism or violent extremism.
- Real-world misinformation presented as fact, especially about health, elections or communal issues.
- Content that insults religions, castes, communities, genders or regions, or incites violence.
- Spam, scams, gambling or betting promotions, links to other apps, or contact details meant to move people off Kissa.
- Fake listens, likes or follows, or any attempt to game rankings, hit status or payouts.
- Impersonating another creator, a celebrity or Kissa staff.
AI and labels
Every story on Kissa is written and narrated with AI from your material, and you must review it before publishing. Stories are labelled AI-generated and translations Translated by AI. Don't remove or hide these labels, and don't present AI-written stories as true accounts of real people.
How moderation works
- Photos are first checked against known child-abuse image databases, then described by AI and checked for nudity, apparent minors and real people. Blocked photos stop the story with a reason.
- Voice recordings are transcribed and the transcript gets the same checks as text.
- Text — the outline, every episode and every translation — is checked by an AI policy classifier that can allow it, send it for human review, or block it with a reason.
- People review anything flagged for review and every blocked story that's appealed, and we spot-check a sample of published stories.
- After publishing, anyone can report a story, comment or creator. Comments go through the same checks.
Three strikes
When a violation is upheld, the content is removed and the creator gets a strike. Strikes appear in the app with the reason. A story with an upheld strike can't count as a hit. Three upheld strikes lead to an account ban. Zero-tolerance violations (child sexual content, cloning someone else's voice) lead to an immediate ban without strikes.
How to report
- In the app, open the story, comment or creator profile.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (or the flag icon) and choose Report.
- Pick a reason — sexual content, minor safety, real person, hate, harassment, violence, copyright, spam, voice imitation or other — and add details if you can.
- Our team reviews every report. You can also block a creator to hide their stories and comments.
Not in the app? Use our grievance form. Reports about child safety, non-consensual intimate content or impersonation are prioritised and acted on within 24 hours.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, reply to the decision in the app or contact us through Help within 30 days. A person who wasn't involved in the first decision will review it. You can also escalate to our Grievance Officer through the grievance form.
